Papizilla Poetry Shout Outs!
March 14, 2013 14 Comments
I used to do shout outs to other worthy sites on my previous blogs. This will be my first shout out on this one. These are sites with high quality art work, poetry and some have short stories. Check them out, give them love, and join us on Sahm and my new Poetry Page on Facebook. Link here.
We have a contest running right now on the poetry page, check it out! Here is the contest.
“Okay, contest participants! If you choose to enter a poem, please enter your poem on THIS POST!
Rules: one entry per person.
The winner will be determined by how many likes they get. Please only vote ONCE, even if you like all of the other poems! On Saturday, the winner will be announced, and by Sunday, we’ll have the shout-outs going out!
I throw in something else: a free copy of my(Sahm’s) poetry collection, “L’aria Onyx”! It’s not the work to end all works, but it’s gotten some decent reviews. It’ll be an e-book in any format the winner chooses.”
Anyone and everyone, please do stop by the page and enter into the contest! Thank you! Without further ado, let’s get to the shout outs!
- Hannah Bae
- Robin Christopher Amaral
- David Chandler
- David Moore III
- Kierce Sevren
- Emmalean Child
- The Arkside Of Thought
- Terry1954
- You and Me!!!
Check them out people! Enjoy them, love them, and appreciate great poetry, artwork, etc. Give them love, comment away, and of course vote for your favorite poem in the contest by Saturday evening. Thank you for stopping by.

Fragile Muse
Our spirit of inspiration
Gentle pixie on our shoulder
With her ink-stained wings
And body cloaked in paint
Flitting on the edge of thought
Heard just enough to guide our dreams
Her power is at our cores
Dwelling in our mind and heart
She balances upon a scale
Held aloft by our self-worth
Easily tipped to madness
And swallowed by despair
She is a fragile creature
That can break at any moment
Leaving us a twitching husk
Adrift in harsh reality
With no wings to help us soar
No voice to call us home
She cannot die for good
Unless we will it to be so
We can fight to bring her back
Absorb the pain that made her fall
Using it to forge new strength
And revive our fragile muse
Well done, very well done! Could you post that on the poetry page? Right at the top is the post for the contest, if you could post that into the comments and bask in the love that will follow.
Sorry about that. I thought you wanted it as a comment on that post. My bad.
No problem, it was really late while I was doing this post and I more than likely was doing the written equivalent of sleepy mumbling.
I see your post on the page! Thank you and good luck!

That is the post I linked to on here Terry, I posted it on the poetry page too. I like it. Could you select or write another good one and post it onto the poetry page?
