Papizilla Poetry Jam: Momzilla Edition
February 4, 2013 8 Comments
I have a guest poem today from the lovely Momzilla! *Listens to all of the applause….* I know right? How awesome is that? Really awesome! This is her very first poem that is being “published”… hey wait a second. If your work is posted on someone else’s blog, does that count as being published? If so, that is so great, if not, well then it should be. Anyway, this is the first time her writing is making the light of day. This one has a message to it, so put on your paying attention ears and eyes, and let us take the journey.
It’s not just punches that hurt a person,
Its words like you’re ugly or fat or worthless.
But I am stronger and took a stand.
For I am no longer your punching bag.
You can say all you want
You will not get one more shot.
I am taking a stand for me
And showing you just how it is going to be.
No more abuse for this woman you see.
I am much stronger thanks to thee.
You showed me what it was like to be weak
And I did not like it in the dark corner of my mind
So I will escape and take my sanity with
And be free to explore the reality of time.
For waiting in the light of it all
Is the man that is truly my call
He is the one that holds my heart dear.
Will not raise his voice or hand near.
Just caress and give loving words to hear.
So thank you for opening my eyes.
I would have never seen what was really inside me.
HOPE. STRENGTH. LOVE.
*Listens to all of the whoops and hollers, cries of more! more!* Well hey there, now why can’t you guys react to my poetry like that? I see how it is…. give all your love to the hottie girls and I get the left overs. Oh well, I guess I will take it. Let me know in the comments as usual, like or love. Hopefully Momzilla will grace us with another entry soon. What is that? Ohhhhh. What was the message? Hmmm, let me ask her(I am really bad with understanding the message of poems). Alright, she says that she saw a lady the other day that reminded her how she felt with her ex, and how she felt when she found me.(Obviously I am the nice part of the poem!) Thank you for stopping by.
